Mayhem
It’s cold where you sleep
A pool are my tears
I don’t know why we kissed
If things fall apart in the end
So I weep, I crumble, I eat
I play dead.
I always wonder if you knew
Or had you known, would you have cared
And say you cared, would that have been enough
To make it so you’d not have left
The less you know, the sweeter the kisses
It’s the oblivious me that the older me misses.
Now the floor is for walking
The counter - for cooking
The chair is for sitting
It’s all in its place
I wish I could trace back
Our steps to way back
when
It was
